A lot of people see me at shows working on viking weave and wonder what I am doing. I show them the finished product as well as the draw plate. Some people also ask me to teach them or to show them how I do it.

As a result I thought it would be a good idea to post links to easy-to-follow instructions for those who want to learn.

Another tutorial is very similar but doesn’t show the final steps.

Finally there is a wonderful book, Great Wire Jewelry by Irene From Petersen which is available at many online sites.

Delaware Art Museum

The Delaware Art Museum’s museum store now has 36 new pieces of mine, mainly dichroic jewelry but also a lovely sterling viking knit bracelet.

The museum is located at 2301 Kentmere Parkway in Wilmington, DE.

Fused Dichroic Glass Jewelry

I am always adding wonderful pieces of fused dichroic glass jewelry – necklaces, pendants, and earrings.

In addition I make purse holders and key rings. All my earrings have sterling silver wire with the exception of surgical steel posts on small earrings. Lately I have been wrapping my pendants and earrings with oxidized fine silver which fuses into the glass itself during firing.

My earrings are made individually and finished to a very high standard.

A Picture from Festival of Trees

Festival of Trees is Delaware Hospice’s main event of the year. It is held every year on the weekend before Thanksgiving. Forty or more large Christmas trees are donated and decorated by individuals then given to community service organizations following the show.

This picture shows a Christmas tree covered with pet toys which was donated to Faithful Friends Animal Shelter in Wilmington, DE.

This year’s event took place November 19-21 at Cokesbury Village in Hockessen, DE.
